What does a wedding celebrant do?
As a celebrant, I create and deliver a completely personalised wedding ceremony that reflects you, your story, and what truly matters to you. Unlike registrar led ceremonies, there are no set scripts or restrictions, giving you the freedom to include personal vows, family members, traditions, pets and special moments that make your day unique.
Are celebrant led weddings legally binding?
In England & Wales celebrant led weddings are not legally binding on their own. Most couples choose to complete the legal part separately at a registrar office, either before or after their wedding day. This allows your celebration ceremony to be focused on love, meaning and enjoyment without time constraints or formal wording.
Where do you offer ceremonies?
I am based in Norfolk and happily conduct ceremonies across Norfolk and the surrounding areas (small travel expenses may apply). Whether you are planning a village hall wedding, countryside celebration, garden ceremony or something a little different I will do my best to accommodate your plans.
When should we book our celebrant?
Many couples book their celebrant as soon as they have chosen their venue. Popular dates fill up quickly so it's always best to get in touch early if you have a particular date in mind.
Midweek dates and short notice bookings are sometimes available - please feel free to enquire.
Can we write our own vows?
Of course. Personal vows are a beautiful part of a celebrant led ceremony. I'm happy to help you write them, offer guidance if you are unsure where to start or simply support you in delivering them on the day.
What happens on the day?
On your wedding day I will arrive in plenty of time, liaise with your venue and suppliers, and deliver your ceremony, calmly and confidently. My aim is for you to feel relaxed, present and able to enjoy every moment.
How do we contact you?
You can get in touch via e-mail, text or give me a call for a friendly no obligation chat, I would love to hear your plans !
